CD42a [A9]
Description The CD42a antibody recognizes a 17 to 22-kilodalton (kDa) single-chain, platelet membrane glycoprotein, also known as gpIX that forms a noncovalent complex with gpIb and gpV. Glycoprotein Ib consists of an α–chain disulfide-linked to a β chain. Glycoproteins Ibα (140 to 145 kDa), Ibβ (24 to 25 kDa), and V (82 to 86 kDa) have been designated as CD42b, CD42c and CD42d respectively. CD42a has been reported to react with both gpIX and the gpIb-IX-V complex. CD42b [42C01]
Description The CD42b glycoprotein, also known as GPIb, is a co-factor of ristocetin-induced aggregation and is involved in the binding of platelets to blood vessel walls. The CD42b antigen is expressed on platelets and on megakaryocytes in bone marrow. The absence of CD42b antigen on platelets may indicate Bernard-Soulier disease. CD42b is a platelet activation marker involved in the process of coagulation as an aggregating factor. It interacts with extracellular matrix as well as with adhesion molecules. Its expression and activation seems to be regulated by VEGF and PDGF. CD45RO (T Cell) [UCHL-1]
Description This antibody mainly recognizes the 180 kD (O isoform–CD45RO) variant of CD45, Leucocyte Common Antigen (LCA). It labels most T lymphocytes, macrophages and Langerhan’s cells of normal tissue. It is a useful tool for identifying T-cell lymphomas, and for the differentiation of low grade B-cell from T-cell lymphomas. (Shipping Cost: €200.00) Host Mouse Application Flow cytometry (FC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human, Chimpanzee, Marmoset -

CD48 [MD134]
Description CD48 (BLAST1) is an activation-associated, glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface glycoprotein expressed primarily in mitogen-stimulated human lymphocytes. CD48 is expressed on T cells, B cells, thymocytes and splenocytes. Both normal and malignant white blood cells express CD48 on their membrane surface, but greater than 95% of CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells do not express CD48. CD48 is expressed at higher levels on human Burkitt's lymphoma cell lines, Raji and most acute myeloid leukemia cells with phenotype CD34-/CD13+/CD33+. Although much remains to be elucidated, CD48 is a critical marker for human immunity, and will most likely be of use in the treatment of many diseases like hematopoietic tumors, autoimmunity, allergy and chronic inflammatory diseases. CD7 [MD146]
Description CD7 is a single-pass type 1 transmembrane protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It plays an essential role in T-cell interactions and also in T-cell/B-cell interactions during early lymphoid development. CD7 is expressed on thymocytes, T- and natural killer cells, and progenitors of lymphoid and myeloid cells. It is also expressed on Tcell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma, Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. CD7 antibody is the most sensitive and specific T-cell deletion marker. Loss of CD7 expression by neoplastic lymphocytes is considered a distinguishing characteristic of mycosis fungoides (MF) and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. (Shipping Cost: €200.00) Host Mouse Application Flow cytometry (FC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human -

CD83 [HB15a]
Description CD83 is a 40-45kD glycoprotein expressed by peripheral blood dendritic cells. Peripheral lymphocytes can be induced to express very low levels of CD83 after culture in agents such as Con A or PHA. In immunohistology, CD83 is shown to be expressed strongly by interfollicular interdigitating reticulum cells and more weakly by cells within germinal centres. CD83 is also expressed by Langerhan's cells in the skin. The CD83 antigen is a 186-amino-acid single-chain glycoprotein and this molecule is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that is composed of an extracellular V-type Ig-like single domain, a transmembrane region, and a short, 40-amino-acid cytoplasmic tail. CD83 antigen undergoes extensive post-translational glycosylation, since the determined Mr is twice the predicted size of the core protein. However, CD83+ cells have a unique cell surface immuno-phenotype that does not correlate with that of T cells, B cells, NK cells, or cells of the myelomonocytic lineage.
