    PDGFRB [MD16R]

Description Beta-type Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptor is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PDGFRB gene. This gene encodes a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor for members of the Platelet-Derived Growth Factor family (PDGF), which is a mitogen for mesenchyme- and glia-derived cells. PDGF consists of two chains, A and B, which dimerize to form functionally distinct isoforms, PGDF-AA, PDGF-AB and PDGF-BB. Translocation of the PDGFR gene with the Tel gene is linked to Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML), a myelodysplastic syndrome, and demonstrates the oncogenic potential of the PDGF receptors. A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12, that fuses this gene to that of the translocation, ETV6, leukemia gene, results in chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia. PD-L1/PDCD1-L1/CD274 [MD21R]

Description Programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) also known as CD274 or B7-H1, a member of the B7 family of cell surface ligands, involved in regulation of T cell activation and humoral immune responses. The PD-L1 binds its transmember receptor PD-1 and provides both stimulatory and inhibitory signals in regulating T cell activation and tolerance during pregnancy, tissue allografts, autoimmune disease and malignant transformation. PD-L1 is expressed in activated T and B cells, placenta and some tumors including melanoma, diffused large B-cell lymphoma, lung, ovary, colon, breast, rectum and renal cell carcinomas. Expression of PD-L1 in cancer is associated with tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, which mediate PD-L1 expression through the release of interferon gamma. Additional research links PD-L1 expression to cancers associated with viral infections. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    PHAP1/ANP32A [MD42R]

Description Belongs to the ANP32 family.. Contains 4 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats. Contains 1 LRRCT domain. Expressed in all tissues tested. Highly expressed in kidney and skeletal muscle, moderate levels of expression in brain, placenta and pancreas, and weakly expressed in lung. Found in all regions of the brain examined (amygdala, caudate nucleus, corpus callosum, hippocampus and thalamus), with highest levels in amygdala. Implicated in a number of cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, caspase-dependent and caspase-independent apoptosis, suppression of transformation (tumor suppressor), inhibition of protein phosphatase 2A, regulation of mRNA trafficking and stability in association with ELAVL1, and inhibition of acetyltransferases as part of the INHAT (inhibitor of histone acetyltransferases) complex. Plays a role in E4F1-mediated transcriptional repression. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    PI3K p85 [SP62]

Description Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase phosphorylates the inositol ring of phosphatidylinositol at the 3-prime position. The enzyme comprises a 110kDa catalytic subunit and a regulatory subunit of either 85, 55, or 50kDa. PI3K p85 is a 85kDa regulatory subunit. Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase plays an important role in the metabolic actions of insulin, and a mutation in this gene has been associated with insulin resistance. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    PIT1/POU1F1 Polyclonal

Description Belongs to the POU transcription factor family. Class-1 subfamily. Transcription factor involved in the specification of the lactotrope, somatotrope, and thyrotrope phenotypes in the developing anterior pituitary. Activates growth hormone and prolactin genes. Specifically binds to the consensus sequence 5'-TAAAT-3'. Defects in POU1F1 are the cause of pituitary hormone deficiency combined type 1 (CPHD1). CPHD is characterized by impaired production of growth hormone (GH) and one or more of the other five anterior pituitary hormones. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    PLA2G4E Polyclonal

Description This gene encodes a member of the cytosolic phospholipase A2 group IV family. Members of this family are involved in regulation of membrane tubule-mediated transport. The enzyme encoded by this member of the family plays a role in trafficking through the clathrin-independent endocytic pathway. The enzyme regulates the recycling process via formation of tubules that transport internalized clathrin-independent cargo proteins back to the cell surface. This gene encodes a member of the cytosolic phospholipase A2 group IV family. The enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of membrane phospholipids to release arachidonic acid which is subsequently metabolized into eicosanoids. Eicosanoids, including prostaglandins and leukotrienes, are lipid-based cellular hormones that regulate hemodynamics, inflammatory responses, and other intracellular pathways. PLA2R/Phospholipase A2 receptor 1 [EPR20483]

Description This gene represents a phospholipase A2 receptor. The encoded protein likely exists as both a transmembrane form and a soluble form. The transmembrane receptor may play a role in clearance of phospholipase A2, thereby inhibiting its action. Polymorphisms at this locus have been associated with susceptibility to idiopathic membranous nephropathy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. Receptor for secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2). Acts as a receptor for phosholipase sPLA2-IB/PLA2G1B but not sPLA2-IIA/PLA2G2A. Also able to bind to snake PA2-like toxins. Although its precise function remains unclear, binding of sPLA2 to its receptor participates in both positive and negative regulation of sPLA2 functions as well as clearance of sPLA2. Binding of sPLA2-IB/PLA2G1B induces various effects depending on the cell type, such as activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade to induce cell proliferation, the production of l
