Description S100 Beta is a homodimeric member of the S100 superfamily. S100 is a family of Ca2+-binding proteins, comprised of 19 members that are differentially expressed in a large number of cell types. The protein has been implicated in cellular processes such as cell differentiation and growth. S100 Beta is abundant in glial cells of the central and peripheral nervous system, in melanocytes, chondrocytes, and adipocytes. It also labels Langerhans cells, histiocytes, epithelial cells, myoepithelial cells and integrating reticular cells of lymphoid tissue, and tumors originated from these cells. Description Tumor-Associated Glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72) is an oncofetal mucin antigen expressed by normal secretory endometrium and most human adenocarcinomas, including colorectal, gastric, pancreatic, mammary, and ovarian. Antibody B72.3 recognizes a carbohydrate epitope identified as sialylated Tn antigen. This antigen is expressed by invasive ductal breast carcinomas, colon, pancreatic, gastric, esophageal, lung, ovarian and endometrial adenocarcinomas. It is not expressed by leukemias, lymphomas, sarcomas, mesotheliomas, melanomas, or benign tumors. This antigen is also expressed on normal secretory endometrium, but not on other normal tissues. Description Tau is a microtubule-associated protein. In adult human brain, 6 tau isoforms are expressed, which are divided into two groups, 3-repeat (3R) and 4-repeat (4R) tau isoforms. Transgelin (SM22-alpha) [SPM606]
Description This antibody recognizes a 22kDa protein, identified as Transgelin, also designated SM22-alpha. It may cross-react with SM22-beta. Transgelin is expressed abundantly in smooth muscle cells. The human transgelin gene encodes a 201 amino acid protein that contains nuclear factor-binding motifs known to regulate transcription in smooth muscle. During embryogenesis, transgelin is expressed in smooth, cardiac and skeletal muscle, but is restricted during late fetal development and adulthood to all vascular and visceral smooth muscle cells and low levels of expression in heart. Transgelin is down regulated in several transformed cell lines, indicating that a reduction of transgelin expression may be an early indicator of the onset of transformation.
