    Adipolin/Fam132a/C1qdc2/CTRP12 Polyclonal

Description Obesity is a major risk factor for the development of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Adipose tissue secretes various bioactive molecules, referred to as adipokines, whose dysregulation can mediate changes in glucose homeostasis and inflammatory responses. Adipolin or C1qdc2/CTRP12 is an insulin-sensitizing adipokine that is abundantly expressed by fat tissues and designate this adipokine as adipolin (adipose-derived insulin-sensitizing factor). Adipolin expression in adipose tissue and plasma was reduced in obesity. Systemic administration of adipolin ameliorated glucose intolerance and insulin resistance in dietinduced obese mice. Adipolin administration also reduced macrophage accumulation and proinflammatory gene expression in the adipose tissue of obesity. Studies suggest that adipolin functions as an anti-inflammatory adipokine that exerts beneficial actions on glucose metabolism. Therefore, adipolin represents a new target molecule for the treatment of insulin resistanc

    Cyclin B3 (CCNB3) Polyconal

Description Cyclins are positive regulatory subunits of the cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), and thereby play an essential role in the control of the cell cycle, notably via their destruction during cell division. Its tissue specificity suggest that it may be required during early meiotic prophase I. Cyclin B3 belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Different cyclins exhibit distinct expression and degradation patterns which contribute to the temporal coordination of each mitotic event. This cyclin may associate with CDC2 and CDK2 kinases, and be required for proper spindle reorganization and restoration of the interphase nucleus. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    Cytochrome C [7H8.2C12]

Description Electron carrier protein. The oxidized form of the cytochrome c heme group can accept an electron from the heme group of the cytochrome c1 subunit of cytochrome reductase. Cytochrome c then transfers this electron to the cytochrome oxidase complex, the final protein carrier in the mitochondrial electron-transport chain. Plays a role in apoptosis. Suppression of the anti-apoptotic members or activation of the pro-apoptotic members of the Bcl-2 family leads to altered mitochondrial membrane permeability resulting in release of cytochrome c into the cytosol. Binding of cytochrome c to Apaf-1 triggers the activation of caspase-9, which then accelerates apoptosis by activating other caspases. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    Thrombospondin 1 [A6.1]

Description The Thrombospondin proteins (TSP 1-4) compose a family of glycoproteins that are involved in cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix signaling. These extracellular, cell-surface proteins form complexes of both homo- and heteromultimers. Thrombospondins play a role in development, aggregation of platelets, adhesion and migration of cells and progression of cells through the growth cycle. Thrombospondin 1 is released from platelets in response to Thrombin stimulation and is a transient component of the extracellular matrix of developing and repairing tissues. Thrombospondin 2 shares a high degree of homology with TSP 1, and is thought to have overlapping but unique functions. Thrombospondin 3 is a developmentally regulated heparin binding protein. Thrombospondin 4 is neuronally expressed and stimulates neurite outgrowth. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)
