    Cytokeratin Basic [AE3]

Description Twenty human keratins are resolved with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis into acidic (pI <5.7) and basic (pI >6.0) subfamilies. The acidic keratins have molecular weights of 56.5, 55, 51, 50, 50’, 48, 46, 45, and 40kDa. The basic keratin s have molecular weights of 65-67, 64, 59, 58, 56 and 52kDa. Members of acidic and basic subfamilies are found together in pairs. The composition of keratin pairs varies with cell type, differentiation status and environment. Many studies have shown the us efulness of keratins as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis. AE1 labels most acidic keratins; therefore, it is a broadly reactive antibody staining most epithelia and their neoplasms. AE1 is particularly suited to distinguish poorly differentiat ed carcinomas from non-epithelial neoplasms. This marker stains both normal and neoplastic cells of epithelial origin. Cytokeratin Cocktail [AE1&AE3]

Description The antibody cocktail labels simple epithelia and their tumors including cytokeratins expressed in complex stratified squamous epithelia. Positive results aid in the classification of normal and a wide range of neoplastic tissues as epithelial in origin. This antibody serves as first tier antibody for differentiation of undifferentiated neoplasm. Pan Cytokeratin clone AE1/AE3 antibody may be used with a panel of antibodies for differential diagnosis, e.g. Breast vs. lung or liver: CK7, AE1/AE3, CEA, GCDFP-15, TTF-1; Renal vs. lung or liver: AE1/AE3, CEA, TTF-1, Renal Cell Ag; Seminoma vs. lung or liver: CAM5.2, AE1/AE3, PLAP, EMA, CD30; Embryonal germ cell vs. lung or liver: AE1/AE3, TTF-1, CK7, PLAP, CD30. The high molecular weight cytokeratins, which are the basic or neutral cytokeratins, comprise subtypes CK1, CK2, CK3, CK4, CK5, CK6, CK7, CK8 and CK9. The low molecular weight cytokeratins, which are the acidic cytokeratins, comprise subtypes CK10, CK12, CK 13, CK14, CK16, CK17, CK18, CK19 and CK20.This antibody recognizes low molecular weight cytokeratins (CK 10 (56.5), CK14 (50), CK15 (50), CK16 (48) and CK19(40) of the acidic family. EBER Associated Protein/RPL22 Polyclonal

Description Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a cytoplasmic ribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit. The protein belongs to the L22E family of ribosomal proteins. Its initiating methionine residue is post-translationally removed. The protein can bind specifically to Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNAs (EBERs) 1 and 2. The mouse protein has been shown to be capable of binding to heparin. Transcript variants utilizing alternative polyA signals exist. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome. It was previously thought that this gene mapped to 3q26 and that it was fused to the acute myeloid leukemia 1 (AML1) gene located at 21q22 in some therapy-related myelodysplastic syndrome patients with 3

    Macrophage L1 Protein [MAC387]

Description Recognizes the L1 or Calprotectin molecule, an intra-cytoplasmic antigen comprising of a 12kDa alpha chain and a 14kDa beta chain expressed by granulocytes, monocytes and by tissue macrophages. Macrophages usually arise from hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow. Under migration into tissues, the monocytes undergo further differentiation to become multifunctional tissue macrophages. They are classified into normal and inflammatory macrophages. Normal macrophages include macrophages in connective tissue (histiocytes), liver (Kupffer’s cells), lung (alveolar macrophages), lymph nodes (free and fixed macrophages), spleen (free and fixed macrophages), bone marrow (fixed macrophages), serous fluids (pleural and peritoneal macrophages), skin (histiocytes, Langerhans's cell) and in other tissues. Inflammatory macrophages are present in various exudates. Macrophages are part of the innate immune system, recognizing, engulfing and destroying many potential pathogens including bacteria,

    p34/CDC2/CDK1 [POH-1]

Description p34cdc2 is a phosphoprotein with protein kinase activity that functions in the G2/M phase transition of the cell cycle. It is the catalytic subunit of the maturation-promoting factor (MPF) and complexes with both cyclin A and B in mammalian cells. Activated p34cdc2 kinase phosphorylates a variety of substrates leading to some specific events of mitosis including nuclear envelope break-down and chromosome condensation. p34cdc2 has also been implicated in lymphoid proliferation. p53 [DO-7]

Description p53 acts as both a tumor-suppressor and transcription factor that, upon activation by DNA damage and other cellular stress signals, leads to the transcription of genes triggering cell-cycle arrest, apoptosis, and DNA repair. p53 is overexpressed in over 50% of human cancers. Positive staining of p53 detected by immunohistochemistry has been observed in colon cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer and ovary cancer. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)
