Description CD48 (BLAST1) is an activation-associated, glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface glycoprotein expressed primarily in mitogen-stimulated human lymphocytes. CD48 is expressed on T cells, B cells, thymocytes and splenocytes.
