    CD284/Toll-like Receptor 4 [25]

Description This antibody reacts with human Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). It is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This receptor has been implicated in signal transduction events induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) found in most gram-negative bacteria. Mutations in this gene have been associated with differences in LPS responsiveness. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    Cytokeratin Basic [AE3]

Description Twenty human keratins are resolved with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis into acidic (pI <5.7) and basic (pI >6.0) subfamilies. The acidic keratins have molecular weights of 56.5, 55, 51, 50, 50’, 48, 46, 45, and 40kDa. The basic keratin s have molecular weights of 65-67, 64, 59, 58, 56 and 52kDa. Members of acidic and basic subfamilies are found together in pairs. The composition of keratin pairs varies with cell type, differentiation status and environment. Many studies have shown the us efulness of keratins as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis. AE1 labels most acidic keratins; therefore, it is a broadly reactive antibody staining most epithelia and their neoplasms. AE1 is particularly suited to distinguish poorly differentiat ed carcinomas from non-epithelial neoplasms. This marker stains both normal and neoplastic cells of epithelial origin. OTK4/FKBP1B/FKBP12.6 [H8]

Description Immunophilins are a highly conserved family of cis-trans peptidyl-prolyl isomerases which bind to and mediate the effects of immunosuppressive drugs such as Cyclosporin, FK506 and Rapamycin. FKBP12.6, also known as FK506-binding protein 1B, is a 108 amino acid immunophilin belonging to the FKBPtype PPIase family. Subcellularly localized to the cytoplasm, FKBP12.6 binds to RyR in cardiac muscle sarcoplasmic reticulum and possibly plays a unique physiological role in excitation-contraction coupling in cardiac muscle. FKBP12.6 also catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. Ubiquitously expressed, FKBP12.6 is found at highest levels in brain and thymus. FKBP12.6 is expressed as two isoforms produced by alternative splicing. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    Tubulin Alpha [TUBA/3038]

Description Tubulin is a heterodimer consisting of alpha and beta-tubulin subunits. It is nearly ubiquitous among eukaryotic cells. The alpha and beta tubulins, which are each about 55 kDa MW, are homologous but not identical. Alpha-beta tubulin heterodimer is the basic building block of microtubules. This intracellular cylindrical filamentous structure is present in almost eukaryotic cells. Microtubules serve as structural supports and lines of transport within the cell, as well as serving a key role in mitosis. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)
