    Actin alpha Sarcomeric [5C5]

Description Actin is a cytoskeletal protein that regulates cell motility, secretion, phagocytosis and cytokinesis. The NH2-terminal of actin may function as antigen. This terminal may also modulate actin interactions and may associate with proteins such as myosin. This antibody is specific for α-skeletal and α-cardiac muscle actins as characterized by ELISA, immunoblot and immunohistochemistry. The antibody shows wide species cross reactivity with tissue from human, sheep, bovine, rabbit, guinea pig, rat, frog, snake, and carp. However, it does not react with smooth muscle tissue. Actin Smooth Muscle (SMA) [1A4]

Description This antibody recognizes actin isotypes alpha of smooth muscle and those cells with myofibroblast differentiation. It labels smooth muscular cells, myofibroblasts, and myoepithelial cells. Using this antibody with other myogenic markers such as muscle actin, desmin and vimentin will be very helpful for differentiation of tumor from muscle origin. It is a useful marker for the identification leiomyosarcomas. It is a useful marker for distinct ion benign proliferative lesions of the breast from neoplastic proliferations. Adenosine Monophosphate Deaminase 3/AMPD3 [AMPD3/901]

Description It recognizes a protein of ~90kDa, which is identified as Adenosine Monophosphate Deaminase, isoform E (AMPD3). It has 767 amino acids and is assigned an EC 3.5.4.6. It is a highly regulated enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolytic deamination of adenosine monophosphate to inosine monophosphate, a branch point in the adenylate catabolic pathway. AMPD3 gene encodes the erythrocyte (E) isoforms, whereas other family members encode isoforms that predominate in muscle (M) and liver (L) cells. This MAb shows reactivity with cells of the erythroid lineage at all stages of maturation in the peripheral blood, bone marrow, and fetal liver. Non-erythroid lineages are negative by flow cytometry. This MAb is useful in the diagnosis of erythroleukemia, identification of bone marrow erythroid precursors, gating erythroid nucleated precursor cells from malignant cells in bone marrow specimens. ALDH1A1 (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 1A1) [44]

Description ALDH1A1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family. Aldehyde dehydrogenase is the next enzyme after alcohol dehydrogenase in the major pathway of alcohol metabolism. ALDH1A1 is known to catalyze the oxidation of retinaldehyde to retinoic acid. ALDH1A1 has been a well established marker of hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells. Recent studies also show that ALDH1A1 is an important cancer stem marker associated with tumor progression in cancers of the breast, prostate and lung. This antibody labels epithelial cells of the stomach, liver, kidney and thyroid, neural cells and stromal cells including endothelial cells. In tumors, it stains stromal cells as well as tumor cells in many types of cancers. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    Androgen Receptor [AR441]

Description Androgen receptor (AR) is a member of the steroid receptor superfamily that is essential for the growth of prostate cancer cells. It has been reported that tyrosine phosphorylation of AR is induced by growth factors and elevated in hormone-refractory prostate tumors. Data suggest that growth factors and their downstream tyrosine kinases, which are elevated during hormone-ablation therapy, can induce tyrosine phosphorylation of AR . Such modification may be important for prostate tumor growth under androgen-depleted conditions. Cellular signaling occurs following androgen binding to the AR and translocation to the nucleus. This activated complex associates with androgen-responsive elements contained in the DNA sequence of target genes, affecting the transcriptional activity of these genes. AR antibody labels epithelial cells and stromal cells in normal prostate. AR reactivity is also found in other types of cells, including epithelial cells of the breast and hepatocytes. In prostate can

    Bcl-10 [SPM520]

Description Bcl-10, with an N-terminal caspase recruitment domain (CARD), is found in a number of apoptotic regulatory molecules. It was identified through its direct involvement in t(1;14) of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. Expression of BCL10 was shown to induce NFKB activation in a NIK-dependent pathway. This antibody labels subpopulations of normal B and T cells and is a useful tool for the sub-classification of lymphomas. In MALT lymphomas with the t(1;14) translocation, while 55% of MALT lymphomas lacking this translocation exhibited the same labeling pattern, although at a much lower level. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)
