    Factor XIII A [SPM180]

Description Factor XIII in both reduced and non-reduced forms. It does not react with human Factor XIII B-chain or human Factor XII. Factor XIII is a Beta-globulin found in plasma and is composed of two subunits. Factor XIII-A is the catalytic subunit and is a dimer of M.W. 160kDa. Factor XIII is present in plasma as an alpha2Beta2 heterodimer (M.W. 320kDa); whereas in platelets, only the alpha2 unit exists. Factor XIIIa is a dermal dendrocyte marker and shows variable reaction with these types of tumors. It can be used for histiocytic phenotyping and has been reported to mark capillary hemangiomas and tumors of the central nervous system. Factor XIII has also been used with CD34 to differentiate between dermatofibroma and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    FDC/Follicular dendritic cell [CNA42]

Description The monoclonal antibody CNA.42 recognizes a unique carbohydrate epitope found on follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) from a variety of species. FDCs are large cells in germinal centers (GCs) of primary and lymphoid tissues. They present non-processed antigen and switch off apoptosis of B cells through a selection process resulting in selection of memory B cells. FDCs express many B cell markers such as CD21 (long isoform), CD23 and CD35. A role for FDCs as been shown in various infectious diseases such as AIDS and transmissible spongiform encephalitis. Staining with this CNA.42 monoclonal antibody is mainly restricted to the plasma membrane but in limited cases may also be cytoplasmic (as seen in mast cells). (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    FOXA1/HNF3A [FOXA1/1512]

Description The transcription factor Forkhead-box A1 (FOXA1), also known as hepatocyte nuclear factor 3-alpha, is a member of the FOX class of transcription factors. FOXA1 has been identified as a hepatocyte enriched factor required for the expression of transthyretin and α1-antitrypsin. Recently, FOXA1 has been shown to be a major determinant of estrogen-ER activity and endocrine response in breast cancer cells. FOXA1 expression correlates with estrogen receptor (ER)-positivity, especially in luminal subtype A breast cancers, which is associated with favorable prognosis. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    GAB1 [1A7]

Description GAB1 also known as GRB2-associated binder 1 and Growth factor receptor bound protein 2-associated protein 1, whose expression can be detected in the stomach as well as in the colon but is highly expressed in the placenta and renal pelvis. It is found in cytosol. This protein is an adapter protein that plays a role in intracellular signaling cascades triggered by activated receptor-type kinase and is also involved in signaling by the EGFR and the INSR. Galectin-9 [MD53R]

Description Galectin-9 is a mammalian lectin with a molecular weight around 50 kD. It is a member of the β-galactoside-binding family. With two conserved carbohydrate recognition domains (CRDs), galectin-9 binds small β-galactosides as well as complex glycoconjugates. HAVCR2/TIM3 has been reported as one of its ligands. Galectin-9 may be retained intracellularly or transported to the cell surface where it can be cleaved to generate a soluble form. Galectin-9 is expressed by lymphocytes, dendritic cells, granulocytes, eosinophils, astrocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and thymus epithelial cells. It can be induced by cytokines in various cell types and is involved in cell aggregation, adhesion, chemotaxis, and apoptosis; galectin-9 induces regulatory T cells and suppresses Th1 and Th17 responses.
